Melike Günyüz

Günyüz, who has been in business for more than 20 years, is an editor-in-chief and a consultant for many publishing projects, especially children's projects. Her publishing work has inspired many writers and publishers in Turkey. Her publishing house has won many awards including the best publishing house of the year. She herself is the manager of the best illustrated children's book of the year. Graduated from the Turkish Language and Literature Department of Boğaziçi University, and received a master's degree from the university and a Divan literature doctorate from Istanbul University's Old Turkish Literature Department.

Günyüz is the first female board member of MUSIAD (Association of Independent Businessmen and Businessmen), and manages many of the economic, cultural and commercial publishing processes that guide Turkish political life.

Now Günyüz continues her professional career and research on non-governmental organizations, and is committed to speech activities aimed at spreading reading culture, promoting Turkish literature on the international stage, sharing high-quality books with all children across the country, and revitalizing the Turkish publishing industry. She also participates in various international events as an author.

Günyüz has published more than 20 children's books and is one of the most translated children's books authors in Turkey. Her books have been translated into Serbian, Bulgarian, Arabic, German, Chinese, English, Albanian, Persian, French, Kagoz, Bosnian and Korean.

She is also a member of the Turkish IWF (International Women’s Forum) board of directors, a member of the TÜRGEV​​ board of directors, a member of the board of MÜSİAD, a member of ÇGYD (Children and Youth Publication Association), and a member of the Press Association and IRSCL (International Association for the Study of Children’s Literature). Former Chairman of the Board of the Press and Publication Association, currently coordinating the International YATEDAM (Foreign Copyright Advisory Center) project, and a member of the TEDA (Ministry of Culture and Tourism Supporting Turkish Cultural, Artistic and Literary Works Expansion Project) Advisory and Evaluation Committee He is also a member of the Tubitak Science Publications Advisory Committee.
