Review
– ELLE
What a charming, magical story! I was bewitched! I really enjoyed the pitch, but this is one of those rare times when it’s even better in execution.
– Anna Boatman, Little Brown, UK
If "up lit" (uplifting fiction) is the new book trend according to The Guardian, then Nicolas Barreau is definitely one of the most interesting international voices of this genre. Or, rather, he set the trend with his novels where kindness and charming characters are wisely combined with romance and the French joie de vivre.
LOVE LETTERS FROM MONTMARTRE is an ode to love, Paris and empathy. A love letter to readers and to whoever believes in the healing power of the written word.
– Ricciarda Barbieri, Giangiacomo Feltrinelli Editore, Italy
With LOVE LETTERS FROM MONTMARTRE Barreau demonstrates his unique storytelling skills and also his soul seeking ability. A delightful treat as well as a grand cru! I simply fell in love.
– Heloise d’Ormesson, EHO, France
Everyone loves him. His novels are so enchanting. Reading Barreau is like having me-time with your best friend.
– Nina George, Germany, author of "The little Paris book shop"

Description
Julien places his letters in the secret compartment of an angel statue he had commissioned for Helen’s grave, in the legendary Montmartre cemetery in Paris, where she is buried.
But one day, Julien finds that his letters have vanished. Has the love of his life decided to give him a sign from above?
What Julien does not know is that someone is watching him, an unsuspecting person who cannot resist the temptation to draw him back into the world of the living.
