Feature

A UNIVERSE WITHIN EVERY COUNTRY

Description

Authors Ana Busch and Caio Vilela have travelled the world visiting distant places and connecting with different people. They’ve visited more than 50 countries to portray the lives of children from different backgrounds and cultures. The result is a wonderful work that brings together the photographs taken by Caio and Ana’s heartfelt texts bringing to the reader curiosities of the world from a distinct and endearing point of view.
The children in this book live in different countries: from ones that are cold as ice to ones that are tropical, hot, and humid. They speak different languages, eat different foods, and dress in very particular
ways. However, regardless of their differences they all love to play, learn new things, and sit down to listen to stories.
This book is an open invitation to everyone who loves travelling to big cities and to small towns in the countryside and wishes to embark on a fascinating journey to the heart of what binds us together: the joy in a child’s smile.

FROM THE BOOK
“Native Brazilians usually play outdoor sports. Soccer is one of the favorite games for both boys and girls. They almost always play barefoot. Many athletes move to big cities to pursue a career playing for the big teams. Little native Brazilians learn to hunt from an early age. Parents teach them how to build bows and arrows and then take their children into the forest to put what they’ve learned into practice. When they grow up, they are responsible for finding food for the tribe’s families.”
