Kim Ri-na, graduated from Seoul National University of Education with a bachelor's degree, and obtained a master's degree in Mathematics Education at the same university, and later received a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education from Boston College in the United States. She has long been contemplating how to conduct math teaching and has conducted comparative studies on math teaching cases and evaluation methods for elementary, middle, and high schools in South Korea and the United States.
She has participated in the compilation of several math textbooks and authored the "Elementary School Math Counterattack That Even Teachers Are Surprised" series, "Mastering Factors and Multiples," "There Are No Children Who Cannot Do Math," "Solving Math Through the History of Mathematics" series, "A Close Reading of Concepts in Math Textbooks" series, "Challenge! Master of Mathematics" series, and others. In addition, she co-authored "Reading, Writing, and Discussing at the Graduate Level" published in the United States, which was later published in South Korea under the title "How to Teach Elementary School Math?"
