Description

Vladimir Zheleznikov(1925-2015):
  Russian Soviet children's writer, screenwriter. Laureate of the USSR State Prize, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.
  Zheleznikov was born into the family of a border guard. In 1945 he moved to Moscow. In 1957 he graduated from the A. M. Gorky Literary Institute, and worked for the Murzilka magazine. He called the writer Vitaly Bianki and the artist Vladimir Lebedev as his teachers.
  The books of Vladimir Zheleznikov have been translated into many languages ​​of the world, they are devoted to relations between people, the problems of growing up, childhood, adolescence. They have become classics of Russian children's literature and are included in the school curriculum. His first book, A Colorful Story, was published in 1960.
  Zheleznikov made his debut as a screenwriter in 1960 - as a screenplay for the film "Silver Trumpets". Since 1988, Zheleznikov has been the artistic director of the Globus film studio, which makes films for children.
