Review

“A little traveler embarks on a philosophical journey. By chance, Martin discovers a ‘path’ and takes it with him as he sets off once more. He generously shares this path with a young boy stuck in a creative rut and helps a little girl who has lost her way... In Bukit’s surreal illustrations, Martin’s ‘path’ winds and twists as the pages are flipped. The book is brimming with abstract concepts and metaphors; some of its sentences carry profound meanings. It poses questions to readers, inspiring them to think deeply rather than simply providing ready-made answers.”
—Linda Ludko, London Public Library

“The extended meanings embedded in the language of this book are worthy of readers’ reflection and broader public discussion.”
—Kirkus Reviews

“Readers will come to realize this truth: when it comes to life, we have many paths and attitudes to choose from.”
—Publishers Weekly
