How has the economy changed in the world during the last 450 years? What was the development of the economic thought, of the business strategies or of the investments in the same time lapse? Starting from the XVII century, the writer through 42 monographies rebuilds a historical, social and economic path that analyses the fundamental passages of a phenomenon that even now is at the base of our lives.

Through fractures and disgraces, huge steps have been made from the beginning of the studies of economic thought to the present day. Our economy has been identified as a subject of study. It is interesting that the issues of four centuries ago are essentially the same as those of today; they are just faced using completely different methodologies.

Pietro Maurandi he has taught history of the economy thought at the universities of Cagliari and Sassari. He have released essay and monographies about economists and economic ideologies. He is behind the release of “Memorie della Reale Società Agraria ed Economica di Cagliari” and the works of the Sardinian economist Giuseppe Todde. From 2001 to 2006, he has been a Deputy in the Parliament. Nowadays he works with the history of Sardinia. In 2008, he released a short essay about some facts of the 600’ and 700’ Sardinia. In 2010, he release his first novel Hombres y Dinero (Cuec). For Arkadia Editore it is been released in 2015 the historic novel Isole, a novel about the events in the communities of Genova, Tabarka and Carloforte.
