Description

While most upcoming publications revisit known narratives, Diana: Last Hours in Paris brings forward new primary accounts from direct witnesses of her final days and final hours.

Among them:
Luigi del Tevere and Cristiano Iacopini, captain and head chef aboard the Jonikal, the yacht where Diana spent her last summer with Dodi Al-Fayed — offering a rare, intimate perspective on the reality of that relationship, far from the myths constructed afterward.
Daniel Bourdon, a French police officer from the Paris Anti-Crime Brigade, who was present inside the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital throughout the night of 31 August 1997. He stood alongside the French Interior Minister, the Paris Police Chief, and the British Ambassador — and later remained alone to guard Diana's body.
This testimony, published here for the first time in English, provides an unprecedented inside account of Diana's final moments – not reconstructed, but lived.

Author

Xavier Rossey is a Belgian investigative non-fiction author specialising in long-form investigations based on primary sources, official records and first-hand testimony.

His first book, Tous Manipulés (2010), re-examined the Marc Dutroux case — the abduction and murder of several young girls in Belgium during the 1990s, one of the country's most traumatic criminal cases — through an extensive analysis of the judicial investigation and the institutional failures it exposed. The book was later translated into Italian and became a recognised reference among specialists of the case.

In 2023, he published La Reine de l'Arnaque, an investigation into an international fraud network centred on French fraudster Catherine Techer. Drawing on interviews, documentary evidence and months of research, the book reconstructs the organisation and methods of a large-scale financial scam.

With Diana: Last Hours in Paris, Xavier presents the culmination of several years of research, combining official British and French investigations, archival sources and previously unpublished first-hand accounts to offer a fresh historical perspective on Princess Diana's final weeks and final hours.hours.
