Description
I Am Cat explores the extraordinary world of one of humanity’s oldest and most enigmatic companions. Blending science, history, memoir, and philosophical reflection, it traces the remarkable relationship between cats and humans, asking a compelling question: did we domesticate cats, or did they choose us?
From their wild origins and astonishing senses to their intelligence, courage, mythology, and enduring place in our hearts, this is a journey through fact and fascination. Woven throughout is the story of Pepper, the author’s beloved twenty-three-year-old cat, whose long life inspires a deeply personal exploration of ageing, companionship, and the quiet magic that has made cats objects of wonder across cultures and centuries.
