Feature
★ A decade apart, a poor scholar and a crown prince are bound by an imperial decree. The scholar gives up everything—only to be met with coldness, suspicion, and humiliation. He is stripped of his dignity and left broken, his health failing.
★ Until, before the entire imperial court, he presents a divorce petition and severs all ties. Only then does the crown prince realize what he has destroyed. A tale of power, betrayal, and desperate redemption—where the one who shatters a heart is the one most wounded when it falls.
★ Exquisite art, rich period details, and a love story that cuts deep. As one reader put it: “Toxicity runs in the blood. The prince is just like his father.”
Description
He gives up his pride, his dignity, his future—all for a chance to reclaim the prince‘s heart. What he receives in return is cold indifference, public humiliation, and the slow erosion of his will to live.
Jun Qiyu is the son of the “tyrant prince” from the first series—a man infamous for cruelty, who eventually redeemed himself through love. But his son seems to have inherited only his worst traits. The boy who once protected Song Liqing from bullies has become the very bully Song Liqing cannot escape.
After months of suffering—abuse, imprisonment, and the systematic destruction of his health—Song Liqing makes a decision. Before the entire imperial court, he presents a divorce petition, breaking the marriage and all ties between them. It is only in that moment that Jun Qiyu realizes what he has done. But by the time he reaches for the heart he broke, it may already be too late.
A romance that doesn‘t end with reconciliation—but with a shattered mirror, and the one who broke it finally feeling the sharp edges of the pieces he created.
