Description

Becoming an amateur astronomer is easier than you might think. You don't need complex knowledge, expensive instruments or countless hours of practice. This book is a practical manual for learning, step by step, how to explore the night sky. Ángel Molina will guide you on an exciting journey through the universe. By the end of the book, the sky will no longer be a mystery: you will recognise the main stars and master tricks that will even allow you to make observations useful to science. You will discover the possibilities of observation with the naked eye, the usefulness of binoculars and, finally, you will learn how to use different types of telescopes to scrutinise every corner of the cosmos. In addition, the author will introduce you to the fascinating world of astrophotography, so you can capture the magic of planets and stars, even with your own mobile phone. Author

Ángel Molina (Cádiz, 1994) is an amateur astronomer, populariser and creator of El Diario del Astrónomo (The Astronomer's Diary). His communication is clear, accessible and peppered with humour, always with a practical focus: helping those taking their first steps to find their way among the stars, telescopes and doubts. He has collaborated with observatories, brands and educational centres. This book was born with a simple and profound purpose: that anyone can learn to discover the sky with the same curiosity that accompanied him from the beginning.
