★An unknown journey through biotechnology and artificial intelligence, from gene editing to nanomedicine, from AI to human-machine integration. ★This book presents a comprehensive, multidisciplinary panorama of the transhumanist vision, tracing not only the evolution of its technologies but also delving deeply into the underlying philosophical questions and ethical dilemmas.

Description

Transhumanism promises an era of revolutionary advances: cognitive enhancements, extended lifespans, and human-machine integration. However, its implications go beyond technology: they affect our identity, our freedom, and the very concept of humanity. How far should we go? This book offers an accessible and rigorous overview of a movement that challenges the limits of biology and ethics. From biotechnology to artificial intelligence, nanotechnology and genetic manipulation, we explore the fundamentals of transhumanism and its potential benefits. But it also analyses the dangers it entails: extreme inequality, manipulation of consciousness and the possibility of losing what makes us human. Through a multidisciplinary approach, it addresses the big questions in the current debate: Is biological immortality an achievable goal or a techno-scientific mirage? How will human relationships change in a world where artificial enhancement is accessible only to a few? To what extent does progress justify modifying the human genome? If you are interested in the future of humanity, the ethics of science and the impact of technology on our lives, this book is for you. Don't get left behind in the debate of the century!
