Feature

★Mystery, adventure, coming-of-age novel: in Tommaso Castellani 's trilogy, mathematics merges seamlessly with literature.
★Turn infinity paradoxes into kidnapping mysteries, decode growing pains through triangular ciphers, and map teenage confusion onto four-dimensional space—with Professor Z, every formula becomes a key to the truth.
★On the surface, it's a campus whodunit; at its core, it's mathematical mind-training. While chasing clues, readers effortlessly grasp the essentials of set theory, non-Euclidean geometry, and multidimensional space.
★Teens dive into thrilling adventures and discover the charm of mathematics, while adults reflect on their own journeys through the folds of time. As the protagonist solves cases in a mathematical universe, we all untangle the unproven theorems of our own lives.

Description

A Mathematical Mystery
A book for everyone, where the mathematics of infinity forms the plot woven into the investigation of an alleged kidnapping.

The enigmatic Professor Z—who refuses to write the square root of 34—guides Giulio through the secrets of infinity. Meanwhile, something strange happens in class: Michele Bernocchi has disappeared, and many fear he has been kidnapped. Giulio and his new friend Ivano, who share a passion for mathematics, set out to solve the mystery.
A true mathematical mystery, a book for both young people and adults. Younger readers can identify with the protagonist, but the narrator Giulio is now an adult, and that particular season of his adolescence is recounted in a way that evokes, even in more mature readers, questions and reflections on the complex group dynamics of teenagers.
