Description
Whatever you want, it's all here!
Here are four buns of four different colors, each bringing their own worries to the 'Everything Bus'. There's Rye Bun looking for smoothing syrup, Hardtack Bun looking for fun, Sticky Rice Bun looking for a lie detector, and a mysterious bun looking for something to protect itself. Although they each have their own unique charm, their requests all leave Cream Bun flustered... But even in the 'Everything Bus' that has everything except cream, finding the truly desired item is like reaching for the stars! Facing unpredictable situations—like getting dish soap instead of smoothing syrup, or discovering a water pistol instead of fun—you'll find yourself bursting into laughter before you know it.
My Way, Honk Honk Honk Honk! cheerfully depicts Cream Bun's operation of the 'Everything Bus'. Although it hasn't filled its own emptiness, the tear-jerking efforts of this novice proprietor struggling to meet the needs of other buns, and the quirky back-and-forth between the eccentric buns, fill the pages. And then, suddenly, you're faced with this thought: Perhaps what the buns truly want isn't an 'item', but someone who will listen to their story and empathize with them? In the novice proprietor's clumsy yet sincere demeanor, everyone who comes here will likely find what they truly desire. After all, sincerity always gets through!
Rye Bun, which isn't smooth but gives off a hearty aroma; Hardtack Bun, which is looking for fun but is already funny enough; Cake, which is looking for something that looks tough but is already brave enough. What do they have in common? They are all already enough, just as they are! Our thoughtful and kind Cream Bun helps the buns discover hidden charms they hadn't noticed before. Sometimes by quietly handing them an item that lets them fully utilize their potential, other times by spotting an advantage they might have overlooked. This small yet firm cheer—"The answer to every problem lies within you"—fills the emptiness inside each and every one of us.

The Second Story of Kim Ji-an's My Way, Cream Bun
My Way, Cream Bun told the delightful story of cream buns who left the bakery to find their own filling. Everyone found the filling they wanted, except for Cream Bun, who remained unfilled until the very end... My Way, Honk Honk Honk Honk! is the story that begins right there. Having collected all sorts of things, Cream Bun now embarks on a full-fledged opening of the 'Everything Bus' to meet the needs of other buns.
Author Kim Ji-an makes readers laugh and cry while delivering Cream Bun-style comfort. The ever-positive Cream Bun sometimes suggests solutions in unexpectedly quirky ways no one else would think of, and other times offers sincere comfort to those with worries. And so, for having truly worried with others, the other buns say to Cream Bun: "You are no longer an empty-hearted Cream Bun!"
Author
While pondering "What kind of 'me' should I live as?", I wrote My Way, Honk Honk Honk Honk!.
This time, I've tried baking, in my own way, the worries of five different buns.
I send my love to the countless buns who, even now somewhere, are each holding onto their own worries.
Published works include If You Keep Running, My Way, Cream Bun, Tulip Hotel, Horangmyeon (Tiger Noodles), and others.
