Description

It’s spring at Farborgen, the school for magical beings, and half-dragon CHLOE MADDOX hopes that after rescuing her dragon brother from the Organization, she might finally enjoy some peace and quiet.
But peace and quiet is for other people, not for half-dragons.
The Organization has enlisted a powerful warlock who is searching for Chloe’s dragon father. If he succeeds, both Chloe and her brother will be in danger. The only way to uncover his plans is to get close to him – very close. When the prestigious Nithercott Internship Program opens and the warlock requests a student intern, Chloe sees her chance.
Using her shapeshifting abilities, she creates an alternate identity: IRIS PROSPER, a wealthy, dazzling girl who seems like the perfect candidate. With the help of her friends, JYALA the hacker fae and RYAN, the incorrigible imp, Chloe is accepted into the program. Suddenly, she’s a double agent inside the Organization.
Her plan gets complicated when she discovers that the other intern is her nemesis, AURORA. Things tangle even further when a mysterious rebel group contacts Chloe, asking for her help in fighting the Organization. At the same time, she still has ordinary school life to handle – magical exams, the school play, and the Summer’s Eve dance – while spending half her time pretending to be Iris. Keeping both lives straight becomes harder each day.
During the internship, Chloe uncovers harrowing details about her mother’s death, and evidence that the warlock was directly involved. Determined to learn more, she must set aside her hatred for Aurora and convince the girl to help her learn the truth, all the while maintaining her cover.
But as summer vacation approaches, Chloe discovers the warlock’s real plan – one that places both her and Aurora in grave danger. The two rivals will now have to work together… and escape the internship with their lives intact.
