Review

Deadly Depths is a fast-paced thriller that is one third deep-sea adventure, one third FBI sleuthing, and one third awesome. A superb novel and killer concept.
— Jeremy Robinson (also known by the pen names Jeremy Bishop and Jeremiah Knight), author of multiple New York Times bestsellers, is renowned for blending science, history, and mythology. Many of his novels have been adapted into comics, films, and TV series, and have been translated into over 20 languages. His notable works include "Infinite", "The Nemesis Project", and "731 Island". His book "Drafting: A Screenwriter's Guide to Thinking on Paper" has been published in China.

A whale of a tale by author Rick Chesler involving modern-day pirates, media moguls, and a sexy federal agent.
— Steve Alten, a contemporary renowned author of science fiction and thriller novels, rose to global fame in 1997 with his debut work "Mega", which features the resurrection of the prehistoric marine creature, the megalodon, blending scientific facts with literary imagination. The book topped The New York Times bestseller list and has been translated into over 20 languages. The movie "Mega" stars Jason Statham and Li Bingbing

This novel is full of suspense and has a tight plot, which will definitely satisfy anyone who wants to read an exciting adventure story. Chessel has an in-depth understanding of the marine environment, which is vividly displayed in the book. He doesn't pretend to be profound but skillfully integrates various knowledge into the story. As someone who loves animals and detests any cruel behavior (I cried my eyes out when I watched Bambi as a child), I had to put the book down several times because I was too tense. As for the reason, I won't reveal the plot. You have to read it yourself!
- Mitch Hoff, Goodreads review

This is a captivating book, and it seems the author has done a lot of research. I never expected to be so engrossed in it. Rick Chesler uses multiple perspectives in the book - which is quite normal for a writer - but he also includes the perspective of the whale, which I found very interesting and unique.

After I got a sneak peek at the first two chapters, I knew I had to read it. I placed an order right away and was surprised to receive the book four days before its official release. Despite my busy schedule, I managed to finish it within a week. There are many characters in the story, but Mr. Chesler does such an excellent job of depicting each one that I never needed to flip back to earlier pages to remember "Who was this person again?" 。 Each character has their own "story", but these stories are seamlessly interwoven with the entire book. The protagonist of the story is actually a blue whale, which has a webcam installed on it, allowing internet and TV viewers to catch a glimpse of the ocean world. Even if readers have no knowledge of the ocean, Chesler's description of this colossal creature and its habitat is so vivid that it's easy to imagine oneself underwater, watching the story unfold. In a world where murders are all too common, this book explores crime from a fresh perspective - a murder at sea captured by a webcam. The author clearly did extensive research, and the description of each technology in the book is so detailed that readers can easily understand how they work. The ending of the story is unexpected but, in retrospect, makes perfect sense. Considering the characters' personalities in the book, I can't think of a better ending! I'm personally very much looking forward to more works by Rick Chesler. His first novel is so captivating that I've bought several copies to give away. This book is the perfect choice to start my summer reading journey!
