Description

During the pandemic, we were inundated with statistics. Media and professionals used these numbers to inform the public about unfolding events and predict future trends. They assumed “objective figures” would convey the crisis’s severity and that the public’s grasp of data would make this format optimally clear. But were these expectations met?

Statistics is a practical and fascinating scientific discipline, not to be underestimated. Thus, Slavko Jerič crafted this handbook for all beginners, students, and adults seeking deeper statistical understanding.

Written from a personal perspective, the book uses the author’s stories and global case studies to help readers identify common errors made by both creators and consumers of statistics.
