Review

This picture book was recommended to me by a friend. I didn't expect it to be the new work of the author of "The Sun's Vacation", which I had read with great interest before. I bought it immediately.
The story setting is amazing. The rice in the rice cooker invites various ingredients in order to make bibimbap. It's novel and cute. The illustrations are so adorable that I want to look at each page repeatedly!
The text is simple and easy to understand, especially suitable for reading with young children. While reading, you can discuss with your child the origin of the ingredients. Before you know it, your child will become closer to vegetables. After reading, you can even make bibimbap together and turn the story in the picture book into a delicious meal on the table. The parent - child interaction is off the charts. Highly recommended!

Description

Please be on time and enjoy lunchtime!
The rice in the rice cooker is busy preparing for today's bibimbap party. We've invited many friends.
When the invitation letters with glistening water droplets fall, the bean sprouts cheer and take the double - decker bus, bouncing towards this appointment. The pumpkin wakes up from its "little nest" in the refrigerator, puts on its warm "coat", and rides a scooter here "whooshing". The earthworm, as the underground messenger, delivers the letters to the onion and the carrot. They then board the helicopter and excitedly land from the clouds. The mushrooms in the deep mountains bravely cross the thick jungle and come to the appointment alone. The beef travels across the sea, the chili paste wakes up from the old grandma's jar, and the much - loved egg also receives the ticket to this party.
When all the ingredients gather together, a delicious magic is about to unfold!

【Two Versions】
This series has two versions. One is a hardcover version for children aged 4 - 6, and the other is a board book version for children aged 0 - 3.
This story is deeply loved by readers, and the hardcover version has won the hearts of many young readers. For this board book version, while retaining the charm of the hardcover version, in order to let infants and young children enjoy reading better, we have enlarged and simplified the pictures. The text is also more concise and has a stronger rhythm than that of the hardcover version. Of course, with its small size and durable cardboard design, children can flip through it easily. Let's meet those lovely and vibrant stories in picture books together!

Foreword

【Words from the Author】
The highly - praised "Party in the Bowl" now has a board book version, especially designed for babies aged 0 - 3 to start their reading journey more happily. The hardcover version delves into the stories behind daily ingredients, while this picture book focuses on stimulating the curiosity of babies who are first exposed to the concept of "mealtime" about food and getting them closer to food.
There are obvious differences between the hardcover version and the board book. Considering the cognitive level of young children, the board book omits some of the characters that appear in the hardcover version. For readers who are familiar with the hardcover version, it can be a new and interesting experience to look for the missing ingredients when reading the board book.
As we have more meals with our children, we can talk about more interesting topics with the help of this book. My baby is just over one year old. Every time I take out this book, she will excitedly shout "Rice, rice!" When I open the book, she will imitate the action of eating various ingredients and seriously pick up the "rice grains" that seem to have "fallen" on the pages. I sincerely hope that this book can make children's mealtime more enjoyable and teach them to cherish food and be grateful.
