Description
Many Berliners are drawn to the countryside. But they often end up in the same places on crowded walking paths. Most of the natural paradises presented here, on the other hand, are largely unknown and deserted even on weekends. Waterfalls, gorges, raccoons and sand dunes - this book makes it clear that the city has more wilderness to offer than many realize. 50 alternatives to the standard program awaken the urge to explore and show a side of Berlin that may still be foreign to many. With over 200 colored illustrations and lots of tips that will make you want to take a relaxing trip into nature.
Author
Gary Schunack, born in 1988, grew up with a Berlin forester, which gave him an intensive view of city nature at a young age. His hobbies such as fishing, cycling and hiking later took him to places that are hidden from most people. The constant search for hidden natural beauties, coupled with an interest in photography, ultimately ensured that the “green side of Berlin” became his passion. Gary Schunack lives with his small family in the heart of Kreuzberg.
