Description

Roswitha Schieb describes one of the most important cultural regions in Europe. Hundreds of castles and palaces tell of the eventful history here, the Giant Mountains are a paradise for nature lovers and the Silesian cities - such as Görlitz, Wroclaw or Katowice - delight with a fascinating mix of tradition and modernity. Over 250 colored photographs by Marek Maruszak accompany the text and make you want to discover Silesia as soon as you leaf through the pages. For the new edition, the book has been expanded to include an overview of Silesia today and the relations between Germany and Poland.
