Description
Hardly any subway line offers as much Berlin as the U2. It runs almost 21 kilometers through the city: from Pankow via Prenzlauer Berg and Mitte to Charlottenburg. Thousands of people use it every day, but very few people know what the 29 stations are like and what can be experienced there. Harald Neckelmann invites you to discover Berlin with the U2. He got off at every station and revealed which sights, museums, monuments, shops, cafés and parks could be found in the immediate vicinity. Excursions with the subway also have surprising things to offer for locals.
Author
Harald Neckelmann, born in 1965, was an author and correspondent for ARD radio for over ten years. He has been working as a non-fiction author, lecturer and city guide since 2007. He has already published numerous books on the history and present of Berlin. Most recently, “Der Tiergarten” was published by BeBra Verlag.
