Description

34 year-old movie director Jo Hye-na is an independent film director who did not produce anything notable after her first movie flopped. Invited as a guest by Jong-hyun, her ex-boyfriend and a rising actor, she is attacked by the “GV Villain” while proceeding with the GV(meeting with viewers). Go Tae-gyung, who is known as the “Beret Villain,” criticizes the editing of Hye-na’s previous movie, and their dispute goes viral. Afterward, Hye-na learns that Go Tae-gyung was the assistant director of her favorite movie and plans to create a documentary with him as the main character. While Go Tae-gyung agrees to the documentary project after Hyena’s constant pleading, he had only one demand, which was to take him along to the interview with Che Hwa-yeong, the most prominent actress at present, as he had a scenario to give her.

Starting the documentary, Hye-na seeks help from her friends from film school and learns about their recent situation. In the process, Hye-na becomes closer to Jong-hyun. On the other hand, Hye-na re-releases her movie on illegal download site in hopes of more people watching it and draws conflict with the film company, but also receives a good news of being invited to the Warsaw Film Festival. Hye-na heads to Warsaw with Jong-hyun to revive her relationship with him, but they keep arguing.

Hye-na returns to Korea with hurt feelings and continues her work with Go Tae-gyung but gets angry over Go’s demand to view the rough cut. She ends up cornering him of not being able to even show the scenario out of fear of moving forward. Furthermore, Seung-ho, who was helping out with the documentary, announces that he is giving up on movies, which puts Hye-na into a standstill along with the upcoming deadline for the documentary.

All aspiring individuals are ones who have the ability to achieve, but it seems like their chance never comes. Through GV Villain Go Tae-gyung, the author hopes that people who are stuck in such situation does not hate what they love, and especially themselves.
