Description

Are you drawn to the night sky? Would you like to observe it, with the naked eye or through a telescope, but don't know where to start? This is the astronomy book you've been looking for. One hundred different topics, one hundred practical exercises to become an expert astronomer.

Observe the sky with the naked eye, with binoculars, with telescopes, with CCD cameras... There will be no more secrets for you. Learn to distinguish the planets from the stars, to find the North Star, how to point and focus a telescope, which telescope is best for you, how to photograph a galaxy. A book for people who are starting to look at the sky, but with which they can go all the way. Learn step by step, starting with the most basic and ending with the construction of an astronomical observatory.

Author

Jordi Lopesino is an amateur astronomer who has been practicing astronomy for more than twenty years and writing books and articles about the sky. He has an observatory on the terrace of his house and actively collaborates with the Minor Planet Center (MPC) and the Explanet Transit Database (ETD). The chapters in this book are based on his experience as an astronomical observer.
