Description

The forest is in danger, even though it is essential in combating climate change. To strengthen forests as main oxygen suppliers and use the wood of cut down trees as CO2 binders is a crucial first step in overcoming the nostalgic view to leave a forest to itself as a nature reserve. The Castells know that ecology and economy do not have to be incompatible in a sustainable and integral concept of forestry. On the contrary, wood is a sustainable and prospective resource that cannot keep up with fast-paced economic sales numbers. Only when CO2 is being retained in the wood, its potential for this world and future generations on this planet is used to its fullest. Following their philosophy that they are working for future generations, not future income, they present this book with lots of confidence and hopefulness that they will be able to preserve our woods.
