Author

HENRI DORION is a geographer, a member of the Royal Society of Canada and a university professor, he has also chaired the United Nations Group of Experts on Geographical Names, the Commission d’étude sur l’intégrité du territoire du Québec, also called the Dorion
Commission, and the Commission de toponymie du Québec. He is the recipient of the Léon-Gérin Award, the Jacques-Rousseau Award and the Massey medal.
