Description
Billy Hicks is an orphan of almost fourteen years old. His parents were among the first victims of the Judges. He lives in an abandoned house on the edge of the City. Fortunately, he is not alone. At his side is Bimbo, a cyborg with human feelings, part friend and part big brother. Bimbo was built by Billy's father, a genetic engineer who disappeared along with all the other scientists, because in the dark City of Judges there is no room for art or science. Every day, Billy travels the streets of the City on his skateboard. With him is the inseparable Bimbo. Their mission is to get food, avoiding the ambushes and traps that lurk around every corner. Billy quickly learns to cope. In his journey of growth and coming to terms with himself, Bimbo's friendship is invaluable.
After several adventures the Judges are finally defeated, the bats fly away from the courts in which they were imprisoned and the City is finally free.
The story is composed of several episodes, each a few pages long. Each episode touches on a theme (friendship, loneliness, betrayal, first love) and marks a lesson for Billy, a stage in his maturation.
