In our newest title, hear from none other than Covid-19, more commonly known as the Coronavirus. It tells the story of how it started its long journey, the globe, how it spreads and what it does to people once it finds its way to their lungs. This story is too familiar for the earthlings as they were all challenged by the new virus quite recently. But the story has another side: the virus’ side. In this picture book, we get to hear this little creature’s tragic tale of existence.
Description
An educational story about the coronavirus narrated by the virus itself. Using simple narration, the book tries to teach little solutions to children about how to protect themselves against coronavirus. The crowned virus introduces itself as a round and greasy little creature with crowns on its head. Then it talks about how it transmits itself from one person to another. The story helps children protect themselves by following some health advice to control and defeat this unwelcome virus.
Author
If you ask her about how she decided to be an author, she closes her eyes and travels back to when she was 19. She remembers the time when she used to read stories to others and the moment when she told herself, “I canwrite stories too!” …and she did. She has written so many stories since then that they call her “the lady with 1000 stories”. You may not believe it but she has written about 1000 stories! Fariba Kalhor has been an author for many years now. She has published a considerable number of books and won a lot of awards for them. But if you ask her what her wish is, she closes her eyes and says with a smile, “I have thousands of wishes left”. And then she leans towards your ear to tell you her most important wish: “I wish I could go back in time so that I can be a kid again, to read more and become a more knowledgeable, capable, and influential author”.
AKRAM KHOLGHI
As soon as she discovered drawing, she fell in love with it and hasn’t stopped ever since. Akram Kholghi loves pencils, papers, and the lands of the birds. She has spent most of her life illustrating for children whom she also loves. She wishes for the children of the world to always laugh out so loud that all the birds escape from the sound of their laughter. What makes her happy? When children respond to her work and pick up a pencil to draw what’s on their minds. She has been an illustrator and designer for 20 years now. She is also an art director. Incidentally, she loves bicycles too; she pushes her bicycle on the paper and rides into the land of the birds…
