Author
Hwee spent 16 years as a political journalist at MediaCorp Singapore, which is how she produced her first non-fiction children’s book on Lee Kuan Yew in 2015. She followed on with Singapore’s Wildlife Wonders and Singapore’s Sports Stars. In 2018, she embarked on her next social messaging project and wrote The Plano Adventures series. It aims to empower every young reader to deal with this wild woolly digital age. In 2020, Hwee embarked on another exciting topic, Invisible Enemies: A Handbook on Pandemics that have Shaped Our World. Hwee is also a comms professional with The Media Consultants Singapore.
The Illustrator- David Liew
David Liew is a prolific artist/sculptor who has illustrated several bestselling book series. This series has especially enabled David to return to his history-educator roots. He also supports fellow authors and illustrators as the Regional Advisor to the Singapore Chapter of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.
