Author
For over 30 years, Sepideh Khalili has been writing books for children. She is recognized as one of the most experienced and talented female writers and translators of children's books in Iran. She has published more than 300 books, a considerable number of which have won various awards. In writing her stories, Dr. Khalili pays vigorous attention to the psychological aspects of children's lives. Significantly, she draws her inspiration from the events around her, which then transforms theminto the heart of narration. The idea of writing the book "The Pomegranate’s Guest" is the result of observing the difficulties of immigrants' lives in other countries.
Sahar Haghgoo
Sahar Haghgoo is a freelance illustrator based in London. She creates her illustrations through digital and mixed media techniques and loves to use theater and drama scenes in her compositions. She is fascinated by Persian miniature and to her, it is a wonderous door to original inspiration. She also believes using their structures improves the scenes. Sahar and her daughter love to discuss literary elements within old tales which influences her work. Humor, love, and kindness are crucialaspects of her work, and she deems them a divine key to human happiness. Moreover, she has a BA in graphic design and a MA in illustration, and her favorite illustrators are Quentin Blake, Adolf Born, David Roberts, Kamāl ud-Diīn Behzād.
