Madrid, 14.03.2021. Mar Goizueta, awarded author with the I Amalthea Prize for Fantasy and Chrysalis Awards by the European Science Fiction Society delights us with nightmare stories set in the circuses of horrors.
On this occasion, Mar Goizueta glides down the paths of horror and touches weirdness in a collection of stories, preceded by a short introduction to the subject, which take us to the world of the old freak shows, also called circuses of horrors, where humans with special characteristics were exhibited as monsters. The book can be conceived as a show where the life of its protagonists come to life and what the public could know about them. According to the author, passion, for better or for worse, is one of the inherent characteristics of monsters - human or not - and it is something that is reflected in these stories that will make us feel fear, surprise and even tenderness at times.
