Description

When the middle of the three Manaresi daughters is found dead on the banks of the Aare, the family's hitherto tranquil life threatens to come apart at the seams from one day to the next. A dark and long-kept secret from the past develops into a deadly danger. Lisa, a research assistant at the Criminal Investigation Department in Bern and the eldest of the Manaresi daughters, is the only one to fight the impending catastrophe together with her colleague Thomas Zigerli. Can she unravel the mystery before she becomes a victim herself?

Author

André Schmutz, born in 1966, grew up in Ueberstorf, an idyllic place in the vicinity of the two Zähringer cities of Bern and Fribourg. After studying pharmacy and subsequently completing his doctorate, he spent many years in the pharmaceutical industry working with vaccines. He discovered his love for writing in his childhood. It was not until many years later that he realized a lifelong dream and began writing a crime novel. In his debut, the two unequal main characters Lisa Manaresi and Thomas Zigerli investigate Lisa's own family in a series of perfidious crimes.
