★The lives of eight great scientists who, with their “vision” and their work, have changed our history forever and …how to become a bit like them.

Description

The evolution of humanity is a constant process but, at the same time, a process subject to sudden accelerations, influenced by the contexts. But it is also the result of revolutions carried out by individuals. Or, better to say, by great geniuses.

As everybody knows, however, in order to innovate and change the course of human history forever these geniuses have had to face challenges, difficulties, skepticisms, resistances, both theoretical and social. So their lives are not only thrilling and epic, but they are also an example, and from them we can take inspiration as well as learn the rules that they have in common: eight “rules of genius” as Massimo Temporelli explains.

With the right mix of respect, irreverence and (a lot) fun, Massimo Temporelli, physicist, popularizer and innovator, reconstructs the lives and extraordinary ideas of the geniuses who changed history, from Marie Curie to Steve Jobs, from Leonardo da Vinci to Elon Musk,
passing through Albert Einstein, Ada Lovelace, Isaac Newton and Charles Darwin, explaining their intuitions and recounting the scientific culture. The stories of the eight protagonists are enriched with small "flashes of genius": episodes of sudden, brief and lightning-fast illuminations like short “zen” tales.

From the successful podcast with the same name "F *** ing Genius" it’s not only the story of eight extraordinary geniuses, but a book that aims to create the ground for the birth of new "fucking geniuses" - and in the meantime it will also help the readers growing the genius that lies inside us.
