Description

Curious Maurice the mouse sneaks into the opera house. During his tour, he glimpses performers' rehearsals, the dazzling wardrobe room, and the restaurant's delicacies. Then the sleepy explorer winds up inside a French horn. When the opera begins, we are in for a wild chase!

Author
Tuula Pere (b. 1958) is Ph.D. in Law and a children's book author from Helsinki, Finland. Her doctoral dissertation published in 2015 examines the limits of the freedom of speech in the Finnish mass media amidst the social and cultural shift of the 1960s and 1970s. Prior to her doctoral research, Tuula Pere has done a career of over two decades as a lawyer and in various expert and executive positions in the industry.

Since 2010, Tuula Pere has published over forty children's storybooks which have been translated into Swedish, English, Russian, Estonian, French, Italian, and Spanish, for example. She has also published poetry, and a bilingual book of aphorisms for children. Some of the illustrations for her books of poetry have been created in cooperation with Espoo School of Art, and her book of aphorisms was illustrated in cooperation with Kirkkonummi School of Art.

Tuula Pere is an avid music and sports enthusiast and a keen baker. She is married and a mother of three.
