Author
The most important Italian children’s author of the 20th century. During World War II, he opposed the war and refused to be drafted into the army. After World War II, he became editor-in-chief of the daily newspaper "New Order". While working in the newspaper media, he began to get involved in children's literature, and in 1960 he began to gain fame in Italy, where he was awarded the Hans Christian Andersen Prize for the best writer in 1970. Many of his works have been translated into various languages and have accompanied children all over the world.
Martina Motzo (Illustrator)
Born in Sassari in 1982. She currently lives in Milan. After graduating from D.A.M.S. Bologna and working as a scriptwriter for Italian National Television in Rome. She discovered that her favorite way of telling stories is to draw them. After studying graphic design at the European School of Design in Rome, she worked as an illustrator for Italian and foreign publishers, and in 2019 she won the Illustrator of the Year award organized by "Cities of Sun" for a calendar design project.
