Description

In the middle of a quiet night at sea, suddenly a huge storm rises and brings a ship with noble people from Italy in danger. Everyone is threatening to drown in the roaring sea - but as through a miracle, they are all saved and washed ashore on a mysterious island. Prospero, the mighty wizard about spirits, wind, water and air rules on this magical island. It soon becomes clear that it was not a coincidence for the noble people to be stranded here, and that Prospero was the creator of this terrible storm. But for what purpose did Prospero ignite the storm? What is he up to?

Barbara Kindermann retells one of Shakespeare's most famous works captivatingly for kids- and creates a magical fairytale full of spook and magic. Sonja Wimmer's atmospheric illustrations immediately draw the reader into the magical spell of the mysterious island and let the spirits come to life.
