The Author: Barbara Kindermann was born 1955 in Zurich. She studied German philology, philosophy and languages in Geneva, Dublin and Florence. Postdoctoral, she worked as a lecturer for several years before publishing the third volume of the Grimm sagas. In 1994, she established the Kindermann Verlag/Publishing House in Berlin, which she is running ever since.

The Artist: Sonja Wimmer, born in Munich, studied design and worked as a graphic designer in Munich and Brussels before moving to Barcelona for illustration studies.
