Description
Here are ideas, step-by-step descriptions, and accessories. Most of the projects can be carried out by anyone; some of them take a little more time. Have you heard about Ikea hackers? This is a broad, international DIY movement. What they share is an eagerness to Do It Yourself, to make full use of all the possibilities that Ikea items present. Winning concepts from various parts of the world are presented in this book. Also lots of other tips and ingenious solutions for interior decoration.
Furthermore, there is special information about painting, about decorating, tools and programs. And guidance for how to add to and reupholster your Ikea furniture. The book is aimed at people who are creative, handy, economically minded and who want inspiration to achieve clever solutions.
Author
Rolf Ellnebrand is a publisher and he runs Columbus Förlag. He has a great deal of experience in the publishing branch, including 14 years as Publicher at Natur & Kultur. His own interest in houses and decoration has resulted in projects where he has rebuilt, renovated, and extended old buildings, as well as built new ones. He particularly values strong colours and atmosphere, and is inspired by Mediterranean culture and natural materials with the exception of the occasional item from Alessi or Ikea, such as the classic watering can Vållö.
Jeanette Bauer is in charge of events at a Swedish computer games company. She loves the Swedish archipelagos, illustrations, dark chocolate, film, music, oaks, hammocks, New York, occupying herself with fun things to do, sweet nectarines... She is passionate about creative, colourful children s environments which can be seen in her blog Froken Bauer, which has become something of a digital inspiration bank.
