Description
With determination and fortitude, Sudden becomes one of the richest and most ruthless traders in the colonies, but his fate and fortunes are linked with John Foy, a rich gentleman on mysterious business in Halifax, and his beautiful wife, Mary. Trading with both the English and the French, Roger’s fate takes a bitter twist as he becomes embroiled in the bitter conflict between Halifax and Louisbourg for control of the northern continent.
Roger Sudden, first published in 1944, is a superb combination of history, adventure and emotional conflict. Available now in a new Nimbus Classics edition.
