This book is a revised edition of *Scientists Who Changed the World*, originally published in 2007. It narrates the lives of eminent scientists who dedicated themselves to building a better world in an engaging way. The book consists of comic strips depicting each scientist’s life paired with corresponding factual knowledge segments. Though structured primarily as biographical accounts following the life journey of each scientist, supplementary knowledge boxes are included to help readers acquire relevant scientific expertise alongside the stories.

The featured figures include household names as well as many lesser-known scientists. Readers will naturally come to understand their life stories and achievements by following the compelling, well-structured comics. The book also fully incorporates new findings uncovered through subsequent academic research related to these scientists.

Hwang Joonghwan (Illustrator)

He graduated from the Department of Visual Communication Design, Hongik University, both undergraduate and graduate programs.
He previously worked as a graphic designer and multimedia PD at an advertising company, then started serializing his comic *386c* in the Dong-a Ilbo newspaper, which ran for 14 years with a total of 3,015 episodes.
His published books include *Moments of Magic*, *Love Is the Most Beautiful Thing*, *Dad’s Science Geniuses Who Change Children’s Futures*, *A Gift of François the Wandering Cartoonist*, *You Are Hope*, *Dream Now, Love, Be Happy*, and other works.

Kim Hongjae (Writer)

He is a science columnist who writes articles to help ordinary people easily understand complicated scientific technologies.
He once dreamed of buying his own apartment like many Koreans, so he worked hard and saved money little by little to buy a flat. At one point, a question popped into his mind: “Aside from its price, how much do I really know about apartments?”

He gathered materials and studied related papers thoroughly to fully understand apartments. While researching apartments, he found that everything that makes up an apartment is built on scientific foundations. Moreover, an apartment is a living space for human beings…
