Kim Keum Hee
Kim was born in Busan in 1979 and raised in Incheon. She graduated from the Department of Korean Literature at Inha University. Her literary debut was made in 2009 when her short story Your Document was published in the New Year Arts Section of the Korean Times. She received the Literature Award in 2015 and the Munhakdongne Young Writers’ Award in 2017 with her short story The World of Jo Jung-gyun. She won the Munhakdongne Young Writers’ Award again in 2016 and an award in the Novel Category of the 62nd Contemporary Literature Award with her book Too Bright Outside for Love. She won the 33rd Shin Dong-yup Prize for Literature for her debut collection of novels, Sentimentality Works Only for a Day or Two.
