Description

Between the end of World War II and the fall of the Berlin Wall, Latin America went through a dramatic period marked by coups, guerrilla insurgencies and revolutions, as well as permanent political instability and violence.

In current Latin American societies, the aftermath of decades of government authoritarianism and systematic violations of human rights are still visible. Despite this, from history the efforts to interpret such a convulsive period as a whole are counted. This work fills this gap, showing the particularities that the Cold War assumed in Latin America.
