Feature
★ A short-story collection from Jun Kurachi, winner of the 1st Honkaku Mystery Award and a maverick voice in Japanese mystery. Its wild "tofu murder" premise sparked lively discussion, blending absurd, common-sense-defying humor with airtight logic — a honkaku (orthodox puzzle) fair for any puzzle fan.
★ The beloved detective "Senpai Nekomaru" returns to showcase the finest in contemporary everyday mysteries. With no graphic violence, only a delightful mental workout, the author's breezy, unhurried prose breaks readers' mental habits and pushes the sheer fun of mystery to its limit.
★ From a fresh variation on Agatha Christie's "The ABC Murders" to a witty tale of workplace favoritism, six ingenious stories reveal the full range of honkaku mystery. Beneath the impossible-looking shell lies a pure, solid logical chain — every twist is logical yet unexpected.
★ A kaleidoscope of puzzles that pushes contrast to the extreme. It answers modern readers' craving to break routines and unwind: hardcore tricks that dazzle, plus deadpan Japanese humor that brings a wry smile, six standalone stories impossible to put down.
