Fabrizio Silei offers his distinctive concept of children illustrated book and his idea of creativity. Children have in front of them a group of imaginary animals, made up only of geometric shapes, that mix together features of real animals from different species. Gradually pictures have less elements and the reader has to complete them. He will name the animal, complete it and describe its peculiar eating habits and living condition in the space provided.

Ideally this book never comes to an end continuing when children create their own imaginary animals.

Fabrizio Silei
worked for many years as a sociologist for various research institutes. As a researcher for sections of life, he interviewed people who had lived during the war and survived Nazi-fascist concentration camps and collected Tuscan stories and legends of oral tradition. He has published essays, novels, stories, children's and youth books that often deal with difficult issues and have a social undertone. He won several awards, won the "Die Besten 7" prize and was one of the finalists of the German Youth Literature Prize 2012. LiBeR ranked Fabrizio Silei's book "Best Books of 2013". The jury of the Premio Andersen - 33rd edition, has decided to award Fabrizio Silei the BEST WRITER OF THE YEAR 2014.
