Michel Quintin
A native of Montreal, Michel Quintin, veterinarian, publisher, author and wildlife photographer, has lived in the Eastern Townships for over twenty years.

Fauna, ecology and the environment are his favorite subjects. In his home have stayed a fox, a litter of raccoons, a fawn, baby jaguars, dogs, pet cats and other orphaned and sick animals.


However, apart from his pets and the fact that he still practices veterinary medicine, Michel Quintin today is content to observe deer, foxes, wild turkeys and other animals that show up at the window of his house. the country.

Nature is, you guessed it, his greatest source of inspiration.

SAMPAR
Author, Illustrator

Born in Victoriaville, Samuel Parent, illustrator, cartoonist and author better known under the pseudonym Sampar, has stood out for several years in the publishing world. Self-taught with many talents, he enjoys an overflowing imagination that takes us into universes that are sometimes tender, sometimes eccentric, sometimes even mythical.

His career as an illustrator took off with the humorous magazine Safarir. His character of Émile earned him great recognition in Quebec, the United States and Australia. In 1996, he joined forces with Alain M. Bergeron to produce a series of gags on Santa Claus which, two years later, were the subject of an album by Soulières Éditeur. In 2001, the duo joined forces with Michel Quintin to launch the Savais-tu? Co-author of the scenarios, Sampar signs each of the illustrations of these humorous documentaries served in a comic book style. Since then, the characters of Billy Stuart and Captain Static have captured the hearts of many fans.

In 2013, Sampar launched his first solo comic, Guiby. His superbaby character, which he has been refining for decades, immediately made his mark on the Quebec literary landscape, and earned him a finalist for the 2014 Bédélys Youth Prize and the 2014 Joe Shuster Prize.
