Description

Author

Antonella Capetti (Author)
Born in 1967 in Grossio, a small town in northern Italy, she started reading before the age of five and has never stopped reading since then. When she was 20, she began teaching in a kindergarten, where she remained for 17 years. After that, she moved to teach in an elementary school, where she has been teaching Italian since 2004. Her strong passion for picture books has been a constant theme in her work. Since 2013, she writes the Apedario blog, where she documents picture book reading activities. She has published many nursery rhymes, short stories and children's picture books. Her children's book, How Beautiful, has been licensed for publication in France and China.

Giovanna Zoboli (Author)
She is an author and editor. In 2004, together with Paolo Canton, she founded the Topipittori publishing house, where she works as an editor and artistic director for the illustration of children's books and audiovisual works. More than thirty books have been published in Italy and abroad, and she has been awarded the “White Ravens Award”, the Andersen Prize in Italy, the “100 Most Outstanding Picture Books” and many other prizes. She focuses on improving the cultural literacy of children and young people in cultural learning activities through blogs, books, magazines, conferences, lectures, courses and other forms. She currently lives and works in Milan, Italy.

Melissa Castrillon (Illustrator)
She is a freelance illustrator and designer with a passion for prints and brilliant colors. She studied at Cambridge School of Art and received a first class honors degree in 2009 and an MA in Children's Book Illustration in 2014. Melissa lives in Cambridge, UK with her husband Luke and their cat Chimi. She works with international clients on a range of projects, from picture books to home decoration, book covers to editorials. Books she has worked on have been selected for the Academy of British Cover Design, Carnegie Medal by the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals, and more.
