【Description】
The young journalist Leonie is not very enthusiastic when her neighbor asks her to look after her little cat Mimi for two weeks. Ms. Siebenschön goes to Ischia, probably the last time in her life, so Leonie, who doesn't have much left for cats, does not want to deny this wish to the old lady and takes Mimi to her.
The first days are a disaster. Mimi seems indignant about her new home, scratches every fabric and jumps over the table and bed because she wants to go outside. In a nutshell: Leonie quickly loses nerves and patience with the little cat. Then she comes up with the idea to hand it over to her best friend Maxie, who has just opened a small book café without a name right now. Maxie is delighted, and her regulars are even more enthusiastic. They will be joining soon and will be happy to stroke or play with Mimi every time they visit the bookshelves.

Charlie Jonas is the pen name of a German writer, she thinks cats are very cute. She lives in Cologne, close to the Reinerplatz described in the book. Her novel was inspired by visiting the Cozy Otis & Clementine bookstore and coffee shop in Halifax, Canada: where you can not only buy books and drink coffee, but also adopt kittens.
