Feature
★ International Appeal of Theme: Blends globally popular elements such as post-apocalyptic survival, divine gamesmanship, and ranked competitions, paired with a Lovecraftian sense of eerie strangeness and a whimsical, imaginative style. Echoes the survival contest core of "The Hunger Games" and the unique belief system of "Lord of Mysteries", aligning with overseas readers' preferences for fantasy adventure.
★ Strongly Resonant Characters and Narrative: The unorthodox protagonist, a "fraudulent priest", breaks away from traditional hero archetypes. Its ensemble storytelling creates a diverse team of characters, similar to the team-up adventure model of "The Avengers", satisfying overseas readers' fondness for complex, multi-dimensional figures and group collaboration.
★ Apocalypse, game, infinite flow, Lovecraftian horror, ensemble cast, high-concept twists — when "deception" becomes the only salvation, do humans still have the right to speak of "truth"?
Description
Compelled to join this deity-led ranking tournament, players must choose a god to believe in and embark on the corresponding "destiny path", selecting an identity from six classic professions: warrior, mage, priest, assassin, hunter, and singer, while continuously facing life-and-death trials for food, water, and the right to survive.
The protagonist, Cheng Shi, claims to live by two principles (1. Never lie; 2. Never trust anything anyone says, including himself). By a twist of fate, the God of Destiny he originally chose is intercepted by the God of Fraud (a mischief-loving deity who thrives on chaos). From then on, Cheng Shi is forced to become the "clown priest" chosen by the God of Fraud.
As the price for betraying his faith, Cheng Shi's luck turns abysmal, and, more cruelly, every word he utters thereafter must be a lie. Yet he gains a special ability: he can disguise himself as a priest of other faiths and use their skills; he can also vaguely sense whether others are lying. His sarcastic remarks occasionally draw the attention of both the God of Destiny and the God of Fraud, causing his luck to randomly swing between extremes, adding amusement to the gods' idle game.
In this perilous playground of deities, Cheng Shi must rely on his wit and lies to survive one high-stakes solo or team trial after another. The story unfolds in an infinite-loop structure: each timeline restarts, but character memories remain, forming a "multi-ending" narrative. With every reset, Cheng Shi attempts to approach the truth through different lies, yet also pushes his companions deeper into darker abysses.
