The author was born in Uzbekistan. There she studied psychoanalysis. In 2002 Ludmila Petranovskaya was awarded with the Russian Presidential Prize. In 2012 Ludmila set up a non-commercial society, The Institute of Family Wellbeing and Development.
Ludmila runs a blog, consults families, gives lectures and writes books. So far Ludmila has published ten books. Her latest book An Adopted Kid at School (April, 2017).
