Feature
Description
Providing a fi¬rsthand account, the book documents a real parenting group, revealing personal stories and progressions. It serves as both a comprehensive Focusing textbook with detailed exercises and a“behind-the-scenes” guide.
A captivating read for anyone intrigued by change and healing processes, it opens a window into a world where parenting becomes a dynamic journey of growth and understanding, transforming theory into practical wisdom.
From the Author
Parenting can bring countless moments of unimaginable bliss. But it also excels in revealing moments of despair, frustration, and struggle. The heart expands to contain this unprecedented love, while bringing seemingly unanswerable questions to the surface.
This process sometimes leaves parents on their own. The conversation is full of premeditated opinions and labels that sometimes can create guilt. We look everywhere for a place to fit in, where we can feel like ourselves again and support us moving forward.
I believe in children and their inclination towards good. I also believe in parents - their knowledge and unique set of resources. I developed the 'Focusing in Respectful Parenting' approach to help support hundreds of families.
