Feature

★This is a series of good night stories to read before going to sleep. The driving force of the story is the lamp that the main character, Liria, has on her bedside table.
★The characters that emerge from the die-cuts of the lamp when it is lit are the ones that make Liria, with a great imagination, dream a different adventure every night.
★Including 2 titles: The Whale, The Star

Description

Lira s mum has made her a wonderful bedside lamp to enlight her dreams. It s a wooden ship with a redhaired girl in the bow and her name written on the side. Instead of sails, its screen is a large die-cut globe that turns as if it could also navigate through the sky, and project all the drawings on the walls and the ceiling. Tonight, a whale that was crossing the ceiling has invited Lira to travel with her. Together they have visited the oceans and even saved an ancient Turtle from a plastics trap!

Author

Pepe Maestro is a storyteller. Sometimes he tells them on stage, in a school or in a library; sometimes he writes them down. He was born in Cádiz. He graduated in Hispanic Philology and has worked as a farmer, actor, puppeteer, cultural manager... He will die who knows where. In the meantime, telling and receiving stories is a source of satisfaction.

Claudia Ranucci was born in Rome, but has lived in Madrid since 1997. She studied Design and Illustration at the Higher Institute for Artistic Industries (ISIA) in Urbino. She illustrates for major Spanish publishers and also publishes in the USA, UK and Italy. Since she was very young, it has been clear to her that she wanted to draw, so she has armed herself with pencils and patience and has devoted herself to realizing her dream. In her spare time she used to help her uncle making wedding dresses and her neighbors in their carpentry workshop. That is why today she combines her passion for drawing with sewing, designing costumes for children and exploring the infinite possibilities of her restless hands. She shares her work table with a black kitten.
