Famous architects such as Schinkel and Knobelsdorff are treated in the same way as buildings that have long since ceased to exist, or urban planning concepts, according to which the city became what it is.
Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Schäche, arguably Berlin's best-known architectural historian, has written a foreword to this completely new approach to Berlin's architectural history.
